Song Blueprints

Expectations
by Alan Ewing
Here we go again, expecting all from one another
You can't change someone
Else they'll go undercover
Some might say it's politics that divides the line
Not if you accept another's
View it's fine
Expectations ...
So what do I expect from you in all truth be known
I just want you to be yourself
To strike the right tone
All that matters is the two becoming one together
That above all else
To be divided never
Expectations ...
Middle -Eight
Oh what a world that is so divided
Of this there can be no denying
I just love us to be one and all
Rather than to see us in fall
So off into debate , as we find our way
Somehow meet in centre
As each other have a say
All I know is how I accept you each and every day
This much I do know
We can have our say
Devotional
a song lyric by Alan Ewing
Here I sit within a micro-state
Waiting for the macro-state to call
Searching in celibacy as I await
For the wife that you bring to me
Long over those heady days of mine
Maybe just a little communion wine
Seen Judas and doubting Thomas too
I searched for something to be true
I found you in younger teenage years
In that you drove away my fears
Always my friend whom I rely on
All of my worries are now gone
Sometimes I play Caesar's little game
Though it always ends the same
I see right through that vixen fox
Then there is only myself to blame
So how and why is this my God?
When I wander through life's mazes
I really just don't know a lot
As I set out upon my crazes
